Maserati of Baltimore Guest Services team wants to extend thanks to all our rider guests and the parade organizers from Columbus Celebrations, INC. Thank you for allowing us to participate in the celebration October 12, 2008. We were so honored to chauffeur Baltimore’s Italian American special VIP guests and local award winners, including the Italian consulate, through the streets of downtown Baltimore.

Your group has done our own Italian family girls proud (Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris). Landing at the end of the parade in the heart of Little Italy, we were overwhelmingly wowed at the outpouring of love, pride, and community support that welcomed Maserati of Baltimore’s M.O.B. Exotics Cars into the community.

In addition, we want to say a special word of thanks to Will and Donna Matriciani for connecting us with Nick Vaccaro this summer. For those of you who participated and remember, Vaccaro’s Italian Pastry Shop, INC was one of the sweet treat sponsors at the 2008 Maserati of Baltimore Rally for the Troops.

On cookie overload, the guests and visitors who braved Tropical Storm Hanna to come out in Baltimore and show their love and support for the USO Metro and our brave American Troops helped raise some sweet cash to keep the moral of our soldiers flying in and out through BWI, DCA, and IAD airports high. All the proceeds of the day were used to help fund the soldier lounges that are used by all our American heroes coming in and out of the DC Metro region.

If you have not eaten Vaccaro’s Italian Pastries or been to one of their fantastic locations yet, visit www.vaccarospastry.com to find out more information about their fantastic dessert selections. Special Thanks to Nick Vaccaro and Staff for taking such good care of the Maserati of Baltimore Team after the Parade.

Click HERE to see photos taken of our exotic cars parked and the Maserati of Baltimore Guest Services team “eating dessert before dinner” at Vaccaro’s in Baltimore’s Little Italy.

Special Thanks to Nick Vaccarro for taking care of Maserati of Baltimore Staff After the Parade

Little Italy Monday Night Special at Vaccaro’s in Little Italy Baltimore

Every Monday night from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Nick Vaccaro offers guests an all you can eat dessert and coffee special for $12.95 a person. This is for their sit-down café in Little Italy only. Baltimore Ravens First Game of the 2008 Season Reminder

Derek Mason

Derek Mason

Baltimore Ravens 2008 Football is about to begin. Click HERE to visit the Ravens and show support for them this season.

Though we are disappointed with the cancellation of the 2008 “The Concorso: Celebrating the Art of the Automobile” previously scheduled events to be held Saturday September 6th and at BWI and Sunday September 7th, 2008 at Power Plant Live! we are happy to know we can regroup both with and for the troops.

The day before the opening game, Saturday September 6, everyone in the Mid-Atlantic area is welcome to hang out at our dealership. With events canceled for 2008, Sunday September 7 all car lovers and owners can head out to see the Ravens game and park whatever daily driver they use (instead of their exotic car) in what is sure to be a congested but thriving downtown Baltimore. [Every cloud has a Ferrari silver lining?]

If you are at the game, give an extra loud shout out for Maserati man Derek Mason. We know we’re hoping to be there, recovering from our big “Maserati of Baltimore Rally for the Troops” September 6th, 2008 full day dealership Road Rally and “Exotic, Unique, and Antique” Car Show festival to benefit the USO Metro.

Keep a watchful eye out for our staff at the Ravens event. We expect Alfred Ramos will be hanging out in one of the fancy owners boxes, showing support like he always does. Until Jack can manage to have a purple and black Lamborghini built to go along with the Orioles Orange, he’ll probably be the one out back in our SUV tailgating while doing most of the “go team” roar of the crowd cheering and screaming.

“The CONCORSO: Celebrating the Art of The Automobile”: Mark Your Calendars and Make Your Hotel Reservations NOW to Visit Baltimore September 6-7, 2008

logo

Friends and families of Maserati of Baltimore, M.O.B. Exotics, Lamborghini Baltimore, Maserati of Washington, Ferrari of Washington, and Lamborghini Washington take note! There is a wonderful opportunity coming up this fall to play in traffic with your exotic cars, have a great time, and to raise some money for a very worthy cause–benefiting our soldiers and heroes of the United States Armed Forces through the charitable efforts of the USO Metro non-profit organization.

Saturday September 6th launching from the Maserati of Baltimore location at 1628 York Road in “Lutherville Timonium” [according to most Nav and GPS devices], we’ll be hosting a ROAD RALLY touring the northern Maryland regions and finishing with a touch of magic right back at home from Baltimore’s LITTLE ITALY. The exact course is being determined now, but drivers and co-pilots can expect to visit Maryland’s soaring heights and lush county grounds while they wind their way about the lakes and mountains, returning to the dealership landing spot to have a quick treat from downtown. Offering a fun rally style for everyone, we’ll be rewarding our most attentive teams with some terrific M.O.B. Exotics Race Fan Boutique certificates.

On that same day, later that evening Saturday, September 6, speed and travel fans can head over to the Baltimore Washington Airport Signature Flight Support Terminal area to visit the next leg of the weekend events. Aptly titled, “Wings and Wheels”, participants will get an up close and personal look at all kinds of exotic cars, planes, military vehicles, and private jets. With great assistance from BWI and Signature Flight Support, crowds are sure to be “wowed”. Patrick Moylan, the Signature host, is the gentlemen to meet at this great show!

On Sunday, September 7, 2008, the USO Metro Team will be following through again with a huge CONCORSO event hosted at the POWERPLANT LIVE, making Baltimore’s Inner Harbor an even better looking and sounding venue for car lovers to day or weekend trip for this event. With over 5,000 visitors already expected to attend, you will want to register early to be sure to get your Pit Passes and car placement for this event. As spectators ourselves for this event, we are anxious to see all the cars they have lined up to bring in from car clubs all over the Mid-Atlantic region. We are sure this will be a spectacular “brighter than fireworks” Baltimore event!

For more information about the events of the day and weekend, please visit the USO CONCORSO link by clicking HERE. They are still actively seeking volunteers and event sponsors to help raise money for the USO, so please… if you are interested in participating let them know. As a favor to the event, our staff are also looking for donation items and services for the Silent Auction portion of the event, too. If you know of a person, business, artist, or restaurant that might want to contribute, we’d love to speak with you. [All donated items, staff time, products or services costs are 100% tax deductible and vouchers will be issued through the USO Metro.]

Read on for more information about the history on the event, excerpted from concorsoforuso.com:

“The Concorso: Celebrating the Art of the Automobile” is proud to announce our fourth annual event and two days of fund raising, parties, music, and food to benefit the USO, supporting our men and women in uniform. The theme this year is Celebrating the Art of the Automobile and will explore the artistic and sculptural forms of the transportation industry…

Jonathan Kendall started [helping organize car show events] in October of 2005 as a way to raise money to help our community in the Baltimore-Washington area. The first event was attended by about (100) people, (12) cars and a beautiful automotive art display together in Annapolis. 2006 Followed a move to the famous City Dock in Annapolis, (100) people, (25) cars along with Jonathan’s beautiful photographic style of art. In 2007 the event took a huge leap to Little Italy in Baltimore where there were (75) cars and motorcycles, (250) ticket holders, (3000) spectators. This year Jonathan [and partner Dave Born] have chosen to work with the USO as the beneficiary.

Saturday, September 6th starts with a fun “Rally” driving event through the Baltimore County, Maryland countryside… [from Maserati of Baltimore].

Saturday continues with the evening event at the Signature Flight Support “Wings and Wheels” Reception to be held at their modern BWI general aviation facility. Ticket holders will enjoy wonderful assortment of international cuisines, wine and drinks. There will be a silent and live auction to benefit the charities. And the event will feature live entertainment as well as a display of automotive and aircraft art.

Sunday’s event is The Concorso and will be in downtown Baltimore at the Cordish Company’s exciting Power Plant Live located at Market Place and Water Street. Over (100) exotic cars will be on display for the general public to view. There will be a private lounge, Angel’s Rock Bar, where ticket holders will find food and drinks for the afternoon. This will be our formal car judging segment and also include live entertainment, auctions and art displays.

Three Perfect Pairs of Visitors from Maserati of Baltimore Arrive at “Ciao Bella”

Maserati & Lamborghini, Kadrieka Maiden & Patrick Valme, and Jack & Kae Davis were all visiting Ciao Bella Restaurant of Baltimore’s “Little Italy” on Saturday Night to meet with Owner and Chef Tony Gambino

Originally uploaded by M.O.B. Exotic Car Gallery

Chef Tony Gambino knocks the Seafood Lamborghini out of the Park for M.O.B. Exotics and friends. Know by common diners as the “Sucre Rosa”, our special favorite dish combines all the right exotic touches to rub our car hearts just right. Combining the freshest shrimp and deep sea scallops with a bit of onion, spinach, and a dash of fresh marinara made with Roma tomatoes fresh off the vine, Ciao Bella chefs create a Marsala Wine cream sauce that can only be described as, “Simply divine.” With a healthy dash of freshly grated aged Romano cheese and some freshly baked Italian bread on the side, Tony recommends a nice big glass or two of the deep red house wine.

Jack Davis, GM of Maserati of Baltimore, is so fond of the food at Ciao Bella that he eats there now all the time. On this beautiful night, one of the first warm evenings of the Spring season, we brought the stars out to meet with local Celeb Tony (gourmet and owner of the restaurant) and to have a few relaxing hours showing off the cars downtown while we dined. The sparkle and pop for the evening came rolling down through Roland Park, headed for St. Paul via Charles Street. After a brief top-down road trip jog through the Baltimore city Arts district and then right down past the Convention Center and Inner Harbor on Pratt Street, the tandem duo of super exotic cars was ready to make the swing down Exeter to head back up the one way drive to Tony’s place on High Street, the lovely and inviting Ciao Bella Restaurant.

Rolling up in a Maserati or Lamborghini always creates quite a stir in the neighborhoods of Baltimore–offering drivers the opportunity to play in traffic while doing a little networking business and promoting car guy good will. Jack and Kae Davis of maseratifans.org know how to promote the luxury car brands right. New sales staff Patrick Valme is no stranger to branding and product promotion. He and girlfriend Kadrieka Maiden of Style & Image Network met while she was promoting celebrity pet charity Fashion Fights Poverty from Washington and he was promoting Fashion Fights Poverty Miami. We were so happy to have them both with us for the meeting that evening to discuss Maserati, Baltimore Style, and Celebrity fashion.

Mob Exotics friends and family, if you are thinking about polishing up one of your exotic cars and taking a lively showcase drive downtown in Baltimore, consider making your final destination for an afternoon lunch or dinner evening Ciao Bella. Tony’s always glad when our clients bring their cars down for a visit–and he loves when we bring the cars we have for sale at the dealership down for a rock star parking visit, too. With the group of us chatting it up and taking our time getting inside the restaurant to talk some business together over a meal, the cars parked at the front door began to draw yet another appreciative dinner time crowd. Your car will be safely parked, well cared for, and we can promise the most friendly and relaxing of fine dining evenings. Tell Tony we sent you… and make sure to call ahead and ask for “Maserati of Baltimore” front door reserved parking.

Ciao Bella is located in the heart of Baltimore’s famous “Little Italy” section at 236 High Street in Baltimore, Maryland. Reservations can be made for parking in advance by calling 410-685-7733 and telling them you are a MOB EXOTICS customer calling for Tony and telling the staff you need to reserve a space for your Lamborghini, Maserati, Ferrari or other highline exotic car from our gallery.

MOB EXOTICS and Meatballs with Chef Tony Gambino

March 16, 2008: MOB EXOTICS and Meatballs? Dining with Baltimore’s own Chef Tony Gambino

Baltimore, thank you so much for welcoming us with open arms. This weekend we we so pleased to have had our first chance to visit a chic local restaurant our friend Christina Gonzales of Premier Rides has been talking about with such enthusiasm–Ciao Bella Restaurant in the heart of downtown’s Little Italy. After a long but fun week at the store, Christina met us downtown. We parked her car off-site near her office, scooped her up in a lipstick red and HOT little Maserati Grandsport (coupe) and she led us right to the front door, where the owner and doormen were delighted to give us “Front Door ROCK STAR PARKING” for the evening. [Always good news.]

Inside, the ambiance was casual and warm. Everything was upscale, but we were still comfortable on a cold night in denim slacks and cashmere. Sportcoats would have been welcome on all the guys, but I can’t imagine the staff would ever shun anyone hungry who came in without a tie–and the ladies (we suspect) are always comfortably attired here whatever the fashion or season. The waitstaff was prompt to seat us right at the window without our even needing to ask, and everyone from busboys to parking attendants were polite, friendly, and gracious. Bottom line, from the moment we pulled up at the curb, we knew were were in for a treat.

Wandering away from the kitchen and past the hockey game on the big flat screen over the well-stocked bar, Chef Tony Gambino ambled over to say hello. Once he realized we were newly arriving locals, he flashed a big smile, made a string of jokes, and (to us) felt like an instant friend. Now, knowing that we already made it through our Calamari with fresh Marinara and some of the best Clams Casino around did not make us any LESS comfortable when we met him(as much as we are food lovers)–but his award winning personality was the personification of charm in the Charm City. Between the food and fun, it is obvious to us why Tony is loved by everyone in town.

Tony, for those unfamiliar, is a local Baltimore star in his own right. Beyond tending to his own restaurant fare, he’s a regular DJ now on one of the local Rock radio stations; fans and friends can also watch him hosting his own cooking segment on Baltimore’s own Fox 45:

“Tony Gambino serves up traditional Itailian fare with a homemade feel, including seafood and family size pasta platters. Ciao Bella Restaurant is a customer friendly treasure in the Heart of Little Italy Baltimore.”

COOKING WITH TONY GAMBINO on the morning News Edition FOX 45; Every second Thursday and Last Thursday of Every month @ 8:45 am

All in all, we had a wonderfully relaxing evening. The food, company, wine, and atmosphere was just the right combination to make for the end of another great Baltimore week and to get us ready to do Monday right. We couldn’t have had a better end to our day or a start of what we hope will be a long and wonderful family dining and “handshake promotion” friendship with Ciao Bella.

As for the “SPECIAL SAUCE”: Chef Tony Gambino has been so good as to extend a parking invitation to MOB EXOTIC Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini drivers; call ahead to have dinner at his place, tell him Jack from M.O.B. Exotics sent you, and he’ll reserve a spot out front for you. Like he says , “I joke all the time on my shows that I am promoting Little Italy’s Restaurant MOB and Meatballs… Now, finally, we have a highline Italian car store [Maserati of Baltimore] and now Jack with MOB Exotics has wandered into my place. What could be better? You come and eat here. We’ll make you and your beautiful cars feel right at home.” How cool.

We’re gonna take you up on that offer, Tony. Not only do we need to head back in soon for some Fresh Lobster Tettrazini, your famous Veal Saltimbocca,  and the Filet Portifino, the Cannolis “for the road” have us hooked. We’ll see you Saturday… around 8? [We’ll call ya, man–no worries. We’ve got some goodies for you from the store to bring along, too, from the boutique. 40 or 42.]

Ciao Bella: great owner, great staff, phenomenal food.
