Can you guess where this photograph of Italianizzato Club member Heidi Klotzman was taken in downtown Baltimore, Maryland?

If you guess at the Havana Club, sheik night life cigar bar location sponsored by the world famous “Ruth’s Chris” restaurant and steakhouse chain (favorite dinner spot of prestigious locals, fine dining connoisseurs, and celebrities all across the country) you would be on the money.

What was this highly fashionable Maserati Granturismo doing while parked in the rock star parking area in front of the timeless but trendy club for cigar aficionados? The car was in the downtown Baltimore Inner Harbor district to help chauffeur Klotzman to the Havana Club to celebrate her company HeidenSeek’s 4th anniversary (and her birthday).

Klotzman, a well known Baltimore event promoter and nightlife personality in the Mid-Atlantic region is well known for throwing lavish bashes imbibed with luxury. Having a Maserati coupe to chariot escort her to the celebration just seemed fitting; Heidi, a delightful gal everyone would love to meet and be, deserved nothing more than the royal treatment throughout the evening. When it comes to creating nightclub gatherings and clever online marketing strategies, Klotzman is the queen.

Young professionals who are rising professionally and financially on the jet set and international scene are all happy to fly in to Baltimore’s BWI airport in order to attend HeidenSeek parties. 2009 Raduna Primavera All Italian Car Tour scheduled June 7 from LaGrange Winery in Haymarket, Virgina sponsored by DC Fiat Club

Mid-Atlantic region auto event news flash: the Raduna Primavera annual “All Italian” car tour annual event is almost here again. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2009, launching from the Northern Virginia region.

Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini cars will all be on display and included in the driving portion of the day trip event, again bringing all the various car club chapters in and around the Baltimore Washington and Northern Virginia regions together to celebrate all things Italian. Cars will rally for a road excursion from the LaGrange Winery in Haymarket, Virginia.

ANNUAL ALL ITALIAN CAR TOUR

The Raduna Primavera event is a special one on the Eastern Seaboard.

Sponsored by the DC Fiat group, they are again getting ready to celebrate the coming of summer with a DC Metro [Northern VA] region road rally tour. The DC Fiat group says, “The starting point is the Winery at Lagrange near Haymarket, Virginia. After a quick driver’s meeting, cars will embark on a journey taking them on some of northern Virginia’s finest back roads. Then it’s across the Potomac and up onto the twisty roads of Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains with a lunchtime finish at Thurmont’s Cozy Restaurant.”

REGISTRATION AND ACTIVITY PARTICIPATION

DC Fiats is an active car club in the Mid-Atlantic Region

According to the car club’s representatives, pricing for participation is $25 per person (which includes a buffet lunch at the Cozy). As such, one can expect the entry fee to be per guest rather than per carload. As a family oriented event, pre-teen children are free. Registration is already open and going strong. Keep in mind there will be a $20 late fee added to registrations received after May, 29th, 2009 so be sure to have your payment and registration in to the group organizers early. Yes, the club does offer online registration options (which you can access by clicking HERE).

THINGS TO DO (AND NOT TO DO) FOR THE RADUNO PRIMAVERA

Other rules and restrictions include the following special event notes: 1. Italian cars only — through they like and appreciate other car brands, their racing hearts on this day seek to include only the lovely cars of Italy. Men and women drivers equally welcome. 2. Participating vehicles must be street legal and fully insured. Always a given at any road rally for any car marquee club activity, it is amazing but some people do have a fantasy of driving their non-street legal machines around the winding and lush view roads of our country. 3. Drivers are expected to obey all traffic laws and posted speed limits. Please note that radar detectors are illegal in the state of Virginia and traffic cameras are now posted throughout the region (targeting intersection crossing violators, mainly). There are also many speed traps,  so pace yourself politely and accordingly to keep on the favored side of any state troopers, sheriffs, or police working the area for the purpose of road safety. 4. The supporting clubs and organizers are not responsible for the actions of participants. [That means play nice with other cars and community neighbors you encounter while driving through the neighborhoods of the beautiful rural and suburban Northern Virginia region just miles away from our nations capital Washington DC.]

Glimmer and Sparkle and Fun Family Carnivals tickle the fancy of Maserati Lovers in Maryland

Holy BLING,  Batman.

I know this sparkle car is neither Italian or exotic, but it sure dazzles. A diamond-bedazzler crusted Mercedes S Class convertible? Researching auto images that would scream “Carnival”, I found this little gem (pun intended).

Bright lights and carnival rides in Essex, Maryland fund-raiser helps raise money for Buomi Shrine Center

For all of you folks who are residents in the Maryland region, plan to head over to Essex for the Boumi Shrine carnival this 2009 season. Happening at 5050 King Avenue, visitors will be able to catch a car show on Thursday, May 14th from 6-9pm that has a Maserati Granturismo S on display. Friday night visitors [May 15th] will be able to see the family friendly 2009 Maserati Quattroporte on display from 6-10pm.

The festival sponsored by the Boumi Shriners is an annual event and popular local “fun thing to do” for families with children. All proceeds benefit the Boumi Shrine Center but are not deductible for tax purposes. Maserati of Baltimore is the Maserati exhibit sponsor, brought on board with the Shriner project by Italianizzato Club member Jay Block.
